Isn't this the coolest linky party? I love picture books! I have used picture books in all of my years of teaching- even with seventh graders!! Older students may complain about the book, but when I start to read, they are engaged in the book! Here are a couple of my absolute favorites;
I love reading this to get the idea across that everyone needs to listen to directions!
Piggie Pie a great book for Halloween! I love reading it with a witchy voice!!
Dectective LaRue also good for point of view and fact/opinionAnd lastly, but not least, I love reading fairy tales and comparing the different versions! Here's three of my favorites;
